About this wine
Testigo Autor, the Signature Wine of Bodegas Romero de Avila, is only made in exceptional vintages, those that, due to their climatological characteristics, guarantee a high potential for long aging in barrel and bottle. It is made from the Tempranillo, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon varieties, individually fermented and aged for twelve months in amphoras. It has a long aging, twenty months in 225 liters French and American oak barrels, followed by twelve months in the bottle. The wine reveals perfumed notes of roasted coffee and dark chocolate, alongside black cherry, black raspberry, black currant, and cassis. Hints of spices, licorice, and clove are also present. On the palate, a bounty of juicy, ripe red fruits come through cherry and plum while finishing with a dense, plush core of dark chocolate and mocha.
